This forms the first part of our Series A funding round: CIP follow a unique ‘just in time’ funding model, which means we will have access to further capital in 12-18 months time as required.
This is a major milestone in our journey. Whilst for my co-founder Andy and I, investment in itself should not be celebrated as ‘success’, it is further validation of the mission we’re on.
When we first launched in 2013, the Akkroo offering was very broad: companies used our mobile lead capture product in a wide range of ways in both B2B and B2C markets.
However it quickly became clear that the greatest challenges for us to try and solve lay in the world of B2B trade shows and events. Traditional, manual lead capture methods create a gulf between the trade show and the office; with the paying exhibitor forced to go from one disconnected tool to the next, when every other part of the marketing and sales stack is connected.

We’re at the forefront of an emerging category of universal event lead capture software, helping organisations to think differently about exhibiting and the end-to-end lead capture process. By integrating the process with existing Marketing Automation or CRM systems, we equip you to measure and maximise event ROI, a task that for too many, still remains out of reach.
We recently announced a significant update to the Akkroo app, including the launch of a native Android app for the very first time. The launch of the new app, combined with this new investment, gives us a fantastic platform from which our team can continue its growth and development.
For our customers, I’d like to say thank you for your continued support. We know we still have much hard work to do to solve all of your challenges, however you can take this investment as a sign of our ongoing commitment to meeting those challenges head-on with innovative, market-leading solutions. The funding also provides us with a powerful tank of fuel to continue growing our team with key hires and expanding our presence in the US, backed by investors who believe in our vision.
