Akkroo in Q1 2018: New Faces, New Office

We’ve been very busy the first three months of 2018, and inspired by the team at Buffer we wanted to take a moment to reflect on this first quarter, and what they’ve meant for team Akkroo.

New People

In 2017 team Akkroo grew from 11 to 24 people, and the first few months have seen that trend continue. New starters have joined across all areas of the company: engineering and product, sales, customer success, marketing and people ops. We’ve welcomed seven new Akkroomates so far this year, and it’s been fantastic watching the team grow.

With another new starter already confirmed for April, and six more vacancies on the website (we’re hiring – fancy joining us?), it’s looking like 2018 will be another busy year for Akkroo.

New Office

Right at the end of 2017 we moved into our new office in Brixton, London – a short tube journey but a world away from our former home in Westminster.

We’d completely outgrown our old office, so a change of scenery was much needed. At the start of the year we were sharing the office with RMP while their office was being finished. They moved into their office in early March, so now we’ve finally got a space of our own.

These past few months have been a settling-in period, getting to know the Brixton area beyond the 2-minute dash from the tube station to the office.

Always Learning

In February some of the team flew out to San Francisco to attend SaaStr Annual – one of the biggest SaaS events. It was a great opportunity to meet with, hear and learn from some of the best and brightest in the industry.

Back in the UK, co-founders Andy and Chris spent a day at SaaStock London in March. Again, this was a fantastic chance to learn from top SaaS experts on this side of the pond, and Chris and Andy returned to Akkroo with pages and pages of notes to share with us all.

Akkroo on Tour!

With customers based all over the world, we work hard to visit them where we can. This quarter, teams have jetted off to Dubai, Vienna and Las Vegas to meet with customers and prospective clients.
